Privacy Policy
Effective October 2, 2026. Version 2026-10-02.
JUAN SANSON, JR ("we", "us") runs TodaysHooks at https://todayshooks.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We keep what we collect to a minimum: no passwords, no ad trackers, and no uploads.
1. What we collect
| Information | Where it comes from | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | You, at signup | Your account, sign-in links, receipts and notices, and the daily email |
| Billing details (plan, status, dates, charge history, Stripe customer and subscription IDs) | Stripe, from your purchase | Run your subscription, refunds, and accounting. Your full card number never reaches us; Stripe handles it. |
| Card fingerprint (a Stripe-generated code for a card, not the card number) | Stripe | Stop the same card from getting repeated free trials |
| Business details you choose to save (business name, city, main service, typical price) | You, on the Profile page | Fill in placeholders on your packs. Optional. |
| Your niches, and any niche you ask us to add | You | Show you the right packs and review new niche requests |
| Activity: sign-ins, pages viewed (today, archive), thumbs up or down, copy actions, emails we send you | Your use of the Service | Run and improve the Service, choose better content, and send reminders |
| IP address and browser type | Your device | Security, rate limiting, and a record of the terms you agreed to |
| Campaign tags (for example which video's link you came from) | The link you clicked | Learn which marketing works |
| Messages you send us | You | Reply to you |
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information.
2. How we use it
- To provide the Service: create your account, show your packs, send sign-in links, the daily email, trial reminders, and account notices.
- To take payment and handle cancellations and refunds.
- To improve the Service: we look at combined feedback (which hook styles people like) to guide what we generate. We do not build advertising profiles.
- To keep the Service safe: prevent abuse, repeat trials, and fraud, and enforce our terms.
- To meet legal duties such as tax and accounting records.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving the Service; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it.
3. AI processing
Packs are written by AI models from TodaysHooks's niche descriptions. Your email, profile, and activity are not sent to the AI provider to write your packs: your business details are filled in on our own servers after the pack is made. The one exception is text you type when you ask us to add a profession that is not listed. That short text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) so it can be matched to an existing niche and drafted into a new one. Please do not put personal information in that box. We use the provider's API under its commercial terms; see the provider's own privacy documentation for how it handles API data.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use these service providers, who handle information only to do work for us:
- Stripe: payment processing, subscriptions, receipts, and billing portal. When you buy, Stripe (through Link) is the seller of record and collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy; we do not receive your card number. Stripe also handles your orders and payment support on the Link website.
- Anthropic: AI text generation and niche matching (not your account details, as described above).
- Email delivery provider (Resend): delivers sign-in links, receipts, reminders, and the daily email.
- Google (Google Analytics): if you click "Allow analytics", Google receives which pages you view, your device and browser type, and approximate location, to give us visit statistics. We turn off Google's advertising features and do not use Analytics to build advertising profiles. We choose Google's shortest practical data retention setting.
- Hosting and network providers (ngrok (connection) and HostGator (domain and email), and a DNS or content delivery service if we use one): run the website and database.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or in a sale or reorganization of the business (with notice to you as the law requires).
5. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Account, profile, niches, feedback | While your account exists. When you delete your account they are erased from live systems immediately and from backups as those roll off, within 30 days. |
| Activity records (page views, sign-ins) | 12 months, then deleted |
| Sign-in link records | 7 days |
| Payment and invoice records | As long as the law requires for tax and accounting, which is generally several years. These do not include your profile. |
| Record that a payment method has used a free trial | Kept after account deletion to prevent repeat trials |
| Records of the terms you accepted | Kept as proof of agreement. After deletion we remove your email, IP address, and browser details from them. |
6. Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Account page, "Download everything we hold about you".
- Correct it: edit your profile, or write to us to change your email.
- Delete it: Account page, "Delete my account".
- Stop the daily email: use the link at the bottom of any daily email. Account and billing emails continue, because they are part of running your account.
- Cookies: we only use the essential ones described in our Cookie Notice.
California and other US state residents. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we collect, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in state privacy laws. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. You can use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask to verify your identity.
EEA and UK residents. You may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our use of your data, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any right, use the Account page or write to support@todayshooks.com. We aim to answer within 30 days and no later than the law requires.
7. Where data is processed
We operate from the United States, and our providers process data in the United States and possibly other countries. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred there. Where the law requires it, our providers rely on recognized transfer safeguards.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections, store only a one-way hash of each sign-in link, keep no passwords, send card data straight to Stripe, and limit who can access our systems. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
9. Children
The Service is for adults running a business. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child gave us information, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics only runs if you click "Allow analytics". If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we never load analytics and do not show the banner. You can change your choice any time with "Analytics settings" in the page footer.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. For material changes we will notify you by email or on the Service before they take effect. The effective date is at the top.
